I apologize to my two or three loyal readers. As you can see, I have decided not to torture you with any more awful posts. I’d rather not post everyday than post this drivel. “I went to the grocery store late at night blah blah blah…” - how did I think that was ok?
Sorry about that.

I had a crazy, scatterbrained Wednesday (there was something in the air, I tell you) which I’ll recount later when I’m not frantically trying to make the house look like it’s always been neat and organized, but here’s one story from a silly day.
I was at the grocery store checking out a ridiculous amount of food for next week, and behind me in line was a sheriff commenting on how he always manages to pick the right line. Yeah, me too, buddy.
I checked out, loaded my groceries in the car, and put my cart up. As I was walking back to my car, the sheriff was walking to his, which was parked right next to me. I told him to have a good night, and he said “Yeah, there’s a hot tub waiting with my name on it.” I said that sounded nice. His response? “Sweetie, if you weren’t so young and married, I’d ask you join me.”
Um, thanks for the non-invite, I guess?

It’s supposed to be 75 on Thanksgiving. Argh! That means it’s gonna be hot in the house because of the turkey, and I won’t be able to go outside to cool off! Stupid Austin…
Not that this temperature is unusual, really. The average high for yesterday was 71. But argh. That’s the only thing I really liked about Baltimore - four seasons. It was fun figuring out how to fry a turkey in the snow.

Well, I’m tired, at least. My cat, on the other hand, is in full-on spaz mode.
I’ve been cleaning the house for the past two weeks. Not cleaning in the mop and broom sense, but as in unpacking. Yes, we’ve been in this house for ten months, and no, we haven’t finished unpacking. You see, with a house comes more space, and with more space comes a room full of boxes that can be walked past everyday without thinking about them. And then ten months later your inlaws are coming for a visit and you have nowhere to put them, so you have to unpack those boxes. Or at least that’s how it went for me.
And wow. We’re not there yet, but the place is already looking great. I actually have a functional office/library, and am even hanging a few more pictures!
Much fun.

Our QB can throw 5 interceptions and lose a fumble and we still win the game. What’s wrong with you, Indy?

Elizabeth reminded me that I could get by if I limited my posts to one subject (an “unhealthy obsession” was I believe how she put it), so today I’ll be talking about mine: the Dallas Cowboys.
Man, it has been fun to be a fan this year. I mean, we spotted the Giants 10 points today through penalties in the first half, and still won. TO hasn’t imploded yet, and we were able to win without any clutch catches from Witten (although he was vital in pass protection). Barber and Jones are both chugging along, and neither seems frustrated by lack of carries. I like Jason Garrett more every game.
I forgot how nerve-wracking it was to be a perpetual favorite. But I think I’ll take it.

this blog post is lousy.
It’s not so much that nothing is going on as it is that I have been in my head a lot lately, and for me to post something good I have to be sort of in the habit of posting, and think “hey, I should blog about that,” which I just haven’t been. there’d be no post today if it weren’t for NaBloPoMo, which would probably be better.
You’re still here? Huh. You must have a really boring job.
On a happy note, I am writing this post on my new desk. My library is almost done!
