So I was standing at the elevator today with about 15 people, all waiting to go up. When the elevator arrived, one girl pushed inside, oblivious to the mass of people trying to get out (and their annoyed expressions). She pressed her floor as everyone scrambled to get out around her. Then, before any of the other people could get into the elevator, she was pushing the close door button, and the elevator door started to close. I had to stick my hand in at the last minute to let everyone else catch a ride.

The odd part was that she didn’t even seem to realize any of what she’d just done. She didn’t push the close door button instead of the open one. She didn’t react at all. It was as though no one existed except for her.

How can people be that oblivious?

Hmm, well, I really like Lingo, but as I can’t come up with words in my day to day conversations, so I would probably really be awful. I guess everyone looks silly on The Price Is Right, and I’ve always wanted to play Plinko.

3. Do you know anyone who has been on a game show?

Yes - two people who’ve been on Jeopardy. One of them won five days in a row (when that used to be the maximum and then you won a car). When she got pulled over by a cop a few months later, she told him where she got it and got off with a warning.
